Our trip continues to Phoenix, Arizona!
As one of the thousands of people who used the TravelTracker to watch Mikal and myself drive around 400 miles from Mountain View to Los Angeles, you will of course be watching the above timelapse video in awe! More details about how we did all this to come!
Oh, and the GPS unit can also spit out altitude and velocity, so we plan to make some cool graphs with those variables. Hopefully we’ll be able to capture that raw data for our drive to Tempe tomorrow, then do some processing on it in the next few days.
Whee!
I went for a walk around the Stanford University campus in Palo Alto, about 3 miles from where I live. The campus is amazing: it’s huge, the architecture is awesome, and the female scenery is excellent!
You should check out my Stanford University gallery!
It turns out that electricity is really awesome! If only I had read my lease agreement a little more closely, I would have discovered I have to pay for the stuff! I guess that’s why I’ve been living in the dark for the last 4 days…
My orange juice is getting warm!
I bought a brand spanking new 2006 Acura TSX, which is what we’d call the Honda Accord Euro in Australia.
I also had to do a driving test today, which I passed no problem. The test is much easier than the Canberra driving test. For example, they don’t make you do any reverse parallel parking!
Mmm… shiny!
Sorry I haven’t posted in a while, work has been keeping me pretty busy.
A few weekends ago, I drove down to Santa Cruz, just for fun!
I saw this pretty little house on High Street:
Which was right next to some church:
I walked to the downtown area and spotted a nice little clock tower:
I was going to go walk down the beach, but the light was going away pretty quickly. Maybe next time!
